Eccentric Inventors DIY wings

Age range: youth
Prompt: eccentric Inventor wants to create functional wings made out of plastic materials (wire, metal, wood and adhesives allowed for minor conveniences)
My take on this eccentric inventor was that they had a flare for the dramatic and enjoyed the way stained glass would refract light: thus wanting to mimic it when they flew!
